| "Six
Stars - No Question !" Once you walk into the Ezard House, you see the most spectacular views no matter where you look. It takes your breath away. The owner is very personable and interesting. He was a musical conductor. He designed Ezard House. The architecture is spectacular as well as the art work and appoinments. Very well furnished. The staff is very attentive and personable as well. The kitchen is spotless, and the food is delicious. You can customize your menu with advance notice. There are 10 bedrooms, each very well done and comfortable with great bathrooms. The gardens built in the hill side are lovely with a private walk and views looking up towards the 12 apostles of Table Mountain. Ezard House is built on the side of Table Mountains as far up as one is allowed to build. We can go on and on about our visit there. Spectacular ! |

| "A
true gem - perfect in every way" Ezard House is truly in a league of its own. Perched high on the hillside above Camps Bay, it is a vision of unusual architecture and glass. But it's is not all style over substance. True, the rooms are lovely - modern, comfortable, terraces with wonderful views, huge luxurious bathrooms and all whims catered for. Also true - the house is a beauty inside - on three levels, with Koi ponds and running water, more great views, and a hot tub on the roof for enjoying sundowners. But the real wonder of this hotel is its attitude. Everything is designed around its guests and what they want out of their holiday. Want breakfast at 2pm? No problem. Fancy a sandwich mid afternoon - absolutely. In fact, if you want to, you can pop into the kitchen and make it yourself; if not there is a chef on hand to cater to your every whim. It is so incredibly refreshing to stay in a hotel like this - especially when they deliver on their promises to do things your way. We would go back there tomorrow, and why anyone would choose one of the other big corporate hotels in Cape Town over this one is beyond us. |

| "An
hotel which exceeded our expectations" We stayed in Ezard House for 5 nights beginning 8th Feb 06. From the moment we were collected at the airport by the hotel's driver to the morning we were dropped off to fly to Jo'berg, the service provided by all members of the staff at this hotel was impeccable. It was friendly, unobtrusive and extremely efficient. In addition to that we were made to feel very much at home in this very well designed and contemporary yet comfortable hotel. The sunsets from our balcony over looking the bay were breathtaking and our room (the Ocean Suite) was luxurious and very spacious. I really cannot recommend this hotel enough. |

| "Luxury
with Sublime Ambiance and Service" This Hotel is the realisation of a long term dream by the hotel's founder and owner Don Ezard - To create a place where guests can come and move around as if it were their own home. Quite honestly we did not know what to expect. The winding road above Camps Bay certainly set the scene but would the hotel rise to the same level? A categorical yes. The thick set, carved wooden doors at the entrance open up to reveal a bright cascading atrium filled with plants and flowers. The clean lines and tiled flooring gives a contemporary but distinctive feel. It was certainly not like anything I nor my wife had experienced before. The welcome came from very smartly dressed (but not stiff!) staff who were quick to relieve us of all baggage and even quicker to stuff a very large (and delicious) glass of wine into hands before taking us on a tour of the hotel. The open plan kitchen right by the dining area (run by Darryl, Colin and Brenda) helped complete the homely feel. Our room was south facing and gave us a wide angled view of the 12 Appostles with a partial sea view and private balcony. Rooms will either have views of the 12 Apostles, Lions Head or the sea - not a bad choice. The rooms were very nicely appointed with fresh fruit on arrival, thick comfy carpets, and original canvass artwork. Our bathroom was lovely - ours looked out to sea - ideal for the sunset! Having said all this, we actually spent very little time in our room. Dining at Ezard House was fantastic. We felt guilty about eating in the hotel but I can safely say it was our best dining experience. Sat up high on hill, with 180 degree views of glistening Camps bay, and a Chef at your beck and call. TIP: If you want the sea food platter speak to the chefs in the morning so they can get it for that evening. I suppose I could talk about this hotel endlessly and I have not even mentioned the Jacuzzi on the roof yet – it was just a great experience with nothing too difficult for the staff. They were very friendly but at the same time retained a level of professionalism at all times. If you want understated luxury with great service and food this is a place you have to visit. Thanks to Don, Michael, Jaco, Alan, Kirsten and all the staff for a wonderful stay. |

| "10
out of 10 for service, quality and attention to detail" We have just returned from a 10 day visit to Ezard House and had the most amazing time. The hotel is perched on the side of the mountain and has the most amazing panoramic views over Camps Bay. You can see the 12 apostles on one side and Lions Head on the other. The views over the ocean are spectacular from the restuarant or from the pool area and most rooms have a sea view. It is perfectly situated for touring the local tourist spots and is a 10 min drive into the Waterfront. The service was friendly, personal and all the staff, without exception could not do enough for you. The food was also excellent and the chefs, Darryl and Brenda, are very accommodating. This hotel makes everything easy for you, from arranging car hire, to dinner reservations and day trips and all done with a smile. The rooms are all unique, but spotless with every possible amenity, including a selection of electric sockets!!! The bathrooms are luxurious with wonderful jacuzzi baths. You must try the jacuzzi on the roof with a bottle of champagne at sunset for the most incredible views!!! I cannot praise this hotel enough and would highly recommend it for the sophisticated traveller who wants a truly unique and unforgettable stay in Cape Town. I only hope that it doesn't become too popular as we may not be able to get in next time!!!! I really do not understand how anyone could not enjoy this hotel and everything it has to offer. It is rare indeed to find such luxury, combined with personal service and quality, but Don Ezard has definitely got it just right!!! |

| "Cool
and contemporary - best view over Camps Bay" Don Ezard has carved this exquisite boutique hotel from the hillside overlooking Camps Bay. Perched high above the sea, the view from the terrace of our room (the Ocean Suite) was magnificent. The room itself was well-equipped (even having multi-format electric sockets) and air-conditioned. The service attentive yet unobtrusive, the ambience serene, the food excellent and wholesome (chefs Brenda and Darryl on hand to discuss your preferences). A stones throw (literally) from Table Mountain National Park the hotel is well positioned for forays into Cape Town or down to our favourite beach at Hout Bay. Hint: ensure you ask for a sea view if that is your heart's desire. |

| "A
Camps Bay Gem" Finally - a boutique hotel with style, excellent service and comfort. We hadn't heard of Ezard House before we stayed there and could not believe our luck. The room was spacious and immaculate, the service was friendly but discreet and the food was excellent, especially since you can (with a little notice) tailor-make your own meals. We had stayed at The Bay before but it has clearly gone down hill. Ezard House is now the only place to stay in Camps Bay. Anyone who could possibly be dissatisied with their stay at Ezard House doesn't know world-class quality when they see it. We readily recommend Ezard House to any sophisticated traveller looking for an outstanding experience. |

| "Excellent" We have just returned from South Africa, where we spent the last four nights at Ezard House. It is a spectacular small hotel, the views as you walk through the front door are stunning. The (large and well appointed) room we had overlooked the koi pond, which was pleasant, but a sea view would have been much better, we will know to ask next time! But what sets this hotel apart for me, is the service, which is attentive, cheerful and personal. Nothing was too much trouble, and everything was done with a smile. Breakfast was excellent, dinner was good, but it is also worth going down to Camps Bay to eat. The self drive day trip to Cape Point that Ezard House supply directions for is a must. Altogether an excellent and thoroughly enjoyable experience. |

| "Truly
Outstanding" A hidden jewel in Camps Bay, What a view when you walk through the front door looking straight out over Camps Bay. The hotel is stylish, modern and exceedingly clean. We stayed in room 9 which was a large suite with views overlooking the swimming pool towards the ocean. The staff were excellent, not intrusive and we felt really pampered. We dined each night at the hotel with family joining us on one night we found the food to be light and very enjoyable. The restaurant is only open to residents and their guests which makes it very personal and means that every table has a fantastic view overlooking the bay What else can I say we will be back! |

| "Perfection" Modern, minimalist, superb attention to detail. Rooms are huge and fantastically appointed with breath-taking views of the ocean and mountains. Apparently Nicolas Cage took over the whole hotel for his honeymoon! Highly recommended. |
